FLED Solar Engine PCB

Printed circuit board (PCB) for soldering Beam-style FLED solar engine circuits.

FLED solar engines are versatile workhorse circuits used for a wide range of solar art projects. Our twist on the classic FLED solar engine design has solder points for up to 3 capacitors, to easily fine tune the circuit’s behavior. More capacitors creates a slower and more powerful response, while less capacitors produces a faster, but less powerful output.

This is the board only. No other electrical components are included. The FLED solar engine circuit and instructions can be found widely online. To build the full circuit you will need to solder a number of components to the PCB. We do not sell these components, which generally include:

• 2n3904 transistor
• 2n3906 transistor
• 1000 - 4700 uF capacitor
• 2-3 K ohm resistor
• red FLED
• DC motor
• 2-6V small solar panel
